These terms explain what Re-Whisk does, what it doesn't do, and who is responsible for what. Please read them — especially Section 1 — before using the service. By using Re-Whisk (the Chrome extension or website), you agree to these terms.

Short version: Re-Whisk uses AI. AI makes mistakes. Always verify ingredients for allergens and safety. You cook at your own responsibility. Re-Whisk is not medical or nutritional advice.

1. AI-Generated Content & Your Responsibility

Re-Whisk uses third-party AI models (including Google Gemini) to generate recipe modifications.
AI makes mistakes. Suggestions may contain incorrect ingredient swaps, missed allergens, wrong quantities, unsafe substitutions, or hallucinated items.
You are solely responsible for verifying ingredients, checking product labels, watching for cross-contamination, confirming suitability for any medical diet or allergy, and the safety of anything you cook or eat.
Re-Whisk is not medical, nutritional, dietary, or allergen advice.
For conditions like celiac disease, nut or peanut allergies, shellfish allergies, diabetes, kidney disease, or any diet prescribed by a healthcare provider, consult a qualified professional. Do not rely on Re-Whisk as your source of truth.

2. "As-Is" and No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Re-Whisk is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to: allergic reactions, illness, food poisoning, injury, property damage, lost time, or lost money. This applies even if Re-Whisk has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

4. Your Representations

You are at least the age of majority in your location.
You will not use Re-Whisk to cook for someone with allergies or a medical condition without independently verifying every ingredient and substitution.
You have read and understood Section 1.

5. Acceptable Use

No reverse engineering, API abuse, large-scale scraping, or use of the service to harm others.
Only submit content that is a recipe page you have the right to process.

6. Account & Access

Re-Whisk may suspend or terminate access for any reason, including violations of these terms.
You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the extension and/or deleting your account.

7. Intellectual Property

The Re-Whisk name, logo, extension code, and website content are the property of Re-Whisk. Original recipes belong to their respective authors and publishers; Re-Whisk only renders modifications on top of content already in your browser. AI-generated modifications are provided for your personal use.

8. Third-Party Services

Re-Whisk relies on third-party providers including Google Firebase, Google Gemini, Cloudflare, and PostHog. Their terms and availability are outside Re-Whisk's control.

9. Changes to These Terms

Re-Whisk may update these terms. Material changes trigger a new Terms Version and a re-acknowledgment prompt in the extension on next use. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
